Names and Passwords
To use Zuckerman's Barn, you need a screen name and a password. Most boys and girls sign up because their class is using the website as a school activity. If you simply found this site and want to know more, ask your teacher about requesting more information. Teachers can write to us at signups@zbarn.net
If you have brought back your permission slip, but can't sign in, here are some hints: (1) Passwords must be typed accurately, without any spaces. Each letter must have the correct upper or lower case form that you used on your signup sheet. Sometimes, letters look to be upper or lower case when students meant the opposite. Experiment with changing the case if you are having trouble logging on. (2) Your name might not be in the database yet. Perhaps it was too hard to read or it duplicates a name that has already been used. Sometimes, names raise questions about whether they are appropriate and there needs to be further discussion. If you want to check whether your name has been added, you can have a parent or guardian send an e-mail to Mr. Zuckerman at signups@zbarn.net.
Once you have a password, you can change it any time. The easiest way is to send a message to Mr. Zuckerman telling him your new password. You can also tell ask your teacher for help or tell Mr. Zuckerman in person if you see him at your school.
Changing screen names is more difficult because your screen name is attached to every review, message, and comment you write. It is also attached to all your artwork. However, if you have a good reason to change your name, it can be done. Again, it is simplest to send Mr. Zuckerman a message telling him your new name and explaining why you want to make a change.
Type a name (slowly) to see if someone else uses it:
