Who runs this site?
Larry Zuckerman has been playing around with personal computers since he set up his Geniac to play tic-tac-toe in the 1950’s, about the same time he convinced Ty Cobb to autograph a baseball and he read Fear Strikes Out and Look Homeward Angel. Since then, he has gone to College, gotten a Masters Degree in teaching, taught second grade in New York City for three years, taught fifth and sixth grade in Newton (MA) for six years, and been a language arts specialist in Newton for 22 years until he retired in June 2002. He also worked at the San Francisco Exploratorium Science Museum when it was just starting up, spent a couple of weeks riding horses at a dude ranch in Alberta, taught English in a remote Mexican village high in the Sierra Madres, and earned a Doctoral Degree in Reading and Language at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
This website combines his love of reading, his interest in computers, and his enthusiasm for helping young people enjoy the path to becoming curious, strong, capable adults.
