Tells about the story

Most Important
-Gives a summary of the action - the plot
-Tells enough to know what happens, but does not give away the ending or other surprises

Also Important
-Tells who the main characters are and something about them
-Tells the genre or type of book if it is not clear from the description

Explains an opinion

-Explains what makes the book good or not so good

Uses a good writing style

Most Important
-Is descriptive enough to make the book come alive
-Uses words and sentences that are easily understood by students who might read the book
-Is clear and well organized

Also Important
-Has an opening (topic) sentence and a conclusion
