Geronimo Stilton - Series by Geronimo Stilton (reviewed Mar 19, 2010)
1 In this incredibly boring series, a mouse is always having adventures. Not to mention he runs a newspaper, The Rodents Gazette. The adventures never are interesting, he only goes to a rainy beach with poor service. A whole book about that! And stuff like visiting a castle, I think there's two.
He also has some annoying or nice relatives that have the lamest names, such as Trap who's always eating and giving bad advice. Never read a book that would only do if it was the only book left on earth. Remember don't read!
Stone Fox by James Gardiner (reviewed Feb 6, 2010)
4 In this exciting book a little boy named Willie gets up one day and goes downstairs to see his grandfather. When he gets downstairs he sees that his grandfather is not there he goes to his grandfathers room. When he gets there he sees his grandfather lying in bed and moaning. When he approaches his grandfather he wont say a word. Willie just thinks that his grandfather is playing a game so he tells the grandfather to come downstairs but when the grandfather doesn't do a thing Willie assumes his grandfather is just sick so he goes back downstairs. For a while Willie runs their farm for his grandfather, plowing planting doing everything. But when grandfather gets worse he goes and gets the doctor. When the doctor gets to the farm they go to grandfathers room. After examination the doctor says im sorry Willie your grandfather is going to die for a while after that Willie cries. After he gets control of himself he goes to the vault and notices the coins and takes them out and goes shopping. After all the money is the vault is gone Willie realizes that they are broke. Shortly after that was harvest, so Willy goes outside and sells the crops to various people. He goes to his grandfather's room and shows him the handful of coins and says, "Look at this money. You can feel better now." As a response the grandfather tilts his head to face the vault and moans. Willie walks over to the vault, opens it, but this time examining the piece of paper inside, he notices that is states that grandfather owes 500 dollars of taxes. Willie soon learns that the only way to get 500 dollars fast was to win a sled dog race, and one of the competitors is Stone Fox, an Indian winning sled dog races to buy back land that used to belong to Indians. At race day Willie goes to the race. As soon as he gets there someone says that the kid race already ended. Willie then explains that he's racing in this race. At the start of the race Willie hooks up his and his grandfather's dog. The starting gun fired. All the racers take off plummeting into the woods. Even though Willie was in a bad position, he took a shortcut to take the lead. Near the end of the race they are in the lead, but Stone Fox is catching up fast. 10 feet before the finish line Searchlight collapses because of heart attack. Stone Fox stops and draws a line in the snow. He says, "Anyone who cross this line I shoot." Everyone knew he wasn't kidding so they stopped. Stone Fox let Willie sadly carry Searchlight to the finish line to win the 500 dollars. His grandfather is then able to pay the tax and gets better. This book is kind of slim and doesn't take that long to read. It's a book that's worth looking for!
Guinness Book of World Records by Guinness editors (reviewed Feb 6, 2010)
5 The book Guinness book of world records is about the extremes of the extremes. It has anything you can imagine including ketchup gulping, a very disgustingly interesting record to read about, very amazing, definitely one to look up if you can get your hands on one of the books. Some of the records are just out of this world including scaling buildings, skyscrapers with no climbing gear or anything, just hands and feet. Some can be monumentally huge like the biggest hotel complex which is big enough to be split into two hotels. These records are just out of this world, like an eighty year old rappelling down a building. Some make little sense, such as most 360 kickflips done in one minute or most t-shirts put on at once. I advise that you get the color picture book because the pictures enhance the experience. It is also a good book for wasting time on. It can take up to two hours to read if you are reading at least most of the records. If you are only reading the ones with pictures it will probably take about one hour. If you are skimming it can take only five to ten minutes if you are paying at least a little attention to the book. This book is a must have. I advise, though, get only years 2006 and up. The other ones are really boring. This book is a star, a light, a landmark. It will show off on your shelf with its look and sheer mass. This book is an absolute must have! I meant all of them 2006 and up. The rest are dull and boring. But the rest are absolute must haves!
YOU MUST GET THIS BOOK!
YOU MUST GET THIS BOOK!!
YOU MUST GET THIS BOOK!!!

Later learning that the cat is one of the three cats in a prophecy, thought to have been solved once before. But after one of them dies they realize that it has not been fulfilled yet. Lionblaze tests her powers by going away and doing various things. He comes back and the cat tells him everything that has happened exactly. Now only Lionblaze and his blind brother, who is a medicine cat, know about this, though others know slightly. The problem was that the lake had run low and no cat knew what was happening. The cat knew, though nobody believed this until visiting the Riverclan base, and she said that a cat was sick there. This arose her mentor Lionblaze's suspicion. At gathering when the Windclan leader walked up the cat exclaimed, "That's him, that's the sick cat." By now I bet you're wondering why I'm not saying the cat's name. The reason is that I want you to read the marvelous book. Anyway after she exclaimed that, the leader walked up to the tree and jumped on, barely though. The mentor, Lionblaze realizes that the cat's right and that the Riverclan leader, Leopardstar, is sick. This is when Lionblaze realizes that the cat has supernatural powers to tell things that are faint, and to see things, sense things far away. This book is an absolute must read!
